Our Unsung Heroes
Volunteer workers are the unsung heroes of Community Helpers, tirelessly dedicating their time and energy to make a positive impact in the Barossa Valley. These selfless individuals come from all walks of life, generously offering their skills, passion, and compassion to help those in need. Their commitment to making our community a better place serves as a testament to the power of human kindness and the belief that small, collective actions can lead to significant, transformative change.
Community Helpers is predominantly run by over 80+ volunteers and we use Centrelink recipient volunteers. If not for our committed and valued volunteers, we could not exist. Our volunteers benefit from the comradery within the organisation, and this involvement assists with their health and wellbeing.

How Can You Help?
- You must have or be willing to obtain a Police Clearance.​
- You must be mobile and medically fit (this can vary at each store location).​
- You can choose to do half or full days, for one or more days per week or fortnight. We work with each volunteer to structure times that will work for both parties.​
- We will supply you with protective and identification clothing, such as an apron, a polo shirt or a hi-vis vest.​
- As an active volunteer, you will receive a 30% discount off all purchases at either location.​
- You will be able to become a member of Community Helpers Inc, which entitles you voting rights at the AGM.​
